Last Days to Get Coverage for the New Year!

Albuquerque, N.M. — BeWell, New Mexico’s Health Insurance Marketplace, is reminding New Mexicans that there are only a few days left to enroll in health insurance coverage that will begin January 1^st, 2026. To have coverage effective at the start of the new year, New Mexicans must complete their enrollment by December 31st.

Health insurance coverage through BeWell provides access to preventive care, prescription medications, mental health services, and protection from unexpected medical costs. Many New Mexicans qualify for financial help to significantly lower monthly premiums and out-of-pocket expenses.

BeWell offers free assistance from trained certified assisters statewide to help individuals and families compare plans and apply for financial assistance.

The full open enrollment period will end January 15, 2026. If customers enroll after January 1^st, their coverage will start February 1^st.
