BeWell is dedicated to connecting Native Americans in New Mexico to affordable, high-quality health insurance that helps complement Indian Health Services and Tribal Health Care Center coverage.

If you are Native American, and a member of a federally recognized tribe, you may get additional benefits when you sign up for a health insurance plan through BeWell. These include:

• You can enroll in a health insurance plan at any time. You do not need to wait for Open Enrollment or qualify for a special enrollment period. 
• You may be eligible for special cost sharing options that reduce your “out-of-pocket” expenses, such as deductibles and premiums. 
• You can continue seeing Indian Health Service (IHS) or Tribal Health Care Center doctors. There’s no copay, deductible or coinsurance at IHS or Tribal Health Care Centers. And you don’t need an IHS or Tribal Health Care Center referral to see a provider outside of IHS.
