If you have a health insurance plan through BeWell at any point during the year, you will need to “reconcile” your premium tax credits when you file your taxes. You can find the information you need to file your taxes, FAQs on forms 1095-A and 8962, and the Second Lowest Cost Silver Plan (SLCSP) calculator on our tax information page.
After you enroll, you must pay your first month’s health insurance premium for your coverage to take effect. If you don’t pay the first month’s health insurance premium on time, you will have to reapply for health insurance. You may not be eligible for the same coverage start date. To make your first payment;
Depending on the carrier, you may be able to set up reoccurring monthly payments in the “Pay Now” Portal. We encourage this to ensure you don’t miss a payment and lose coverage.
Each insurance carrier has its own way to set up payments, including recurring or automated payments. Be sure to connect with your insurance carrier to set up your preferred payment method. Contact information for each carrier is below, should you have any questions.

After you have created or claimed your 2026 BeWell account, you can submit a support request for any issues directly from your account page. To do so;
You have not submitted a support request. Please allow up to 48 business hours to receive a call or reply in your inbox.
If your request is urgent, you can call us at 833-862-3935, or schedule an appointment to meet with a certified assister.
Grace periods do not apply to the first month’s payment. You must pay the first month’s payment to complete the enrollment process. If you do not make this payment, your health insurance plan will not take effect, and you will not be enrolled in coverage.
If you get Advance Premium Tax Credits (APTC), you are eligible for a three-month grace period. The grace period starts with the first month of not paying your monthly health insurance premium. If you do not make a complete payment by the end of the grace period, your last day of coverage will be applied to the last day of the first month of the grace period.
If you do not get APTC, you are eligible for a one-month grace period. If you do not make a complete payment by the end of the grace period, your last day of coverage will be the last day of the coverage month for which payment was made in full (e.g., non-payment for May coverage is terminated effective April 30th). More details can be found in section 9.5 of our Policy Manual.
If your coverage is terminated for nonpayment, you cannot re-enroll until the next Open Enrollment Period (OEP) unless you have a Qualifying Life Event (QLE).
Please contact your carrier if you are going to miss a payment.
